PHENOM 100 PIC TYPE RATING
The Phenom 100 Initial Type Rating Training Course adds the EMB-500 Type Rating to a pilot’s existing certificate. This allows the holder to act as a pilot in command of the Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft. Our course consists of a comprehensive ground school in order to learn the aircraft and its systems and flight training in preparation for the practical test. All training is personalized to your individual needs and skill level. Tasks to be demonstrated in the practical test are defined in the ATP Type Rating Practical Test Standards for multi-engine airplanes.
All flight training is conducted in aircraft. Training is conducted in your aircraft. You have the option to come to one of our training centers (make a selection on Request a Quote Form) or for your convenience, we offer ON-SITE training at your home base or anywhere you choose. Training in your aircraft will prepare you to fly your specific setup and achieve mastery of your aircraft. In addition, our instructors have vast experience flying Phenom 100’s and can provide you with real-world scenarios.
The EMB-500 Type Rating requires a checkride conducted by an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE). The Phenom 100 is certified under Part 23 of the FAR’s which allows for single pilot operations. You have the option to take the checkride to single pilot standards or crew. If the crew is elected, “SIC Required” will be added to the EMB-500 Type Rating under Limitations on your pilot certificate. Learn more on what to expect from the flight exam and how to reduce test-day nerves.
You can complete the EMB-500 Type Rating Training Course in as little as 5-7 days. After you complete the course and pass the practical test with a satisfactory rating, your pilot certificate will be reissued with the EMB- 500 Type Rating.
PHENOM 100 RECURRENT TRAINING
The EMB-500 Recurrent Training course satisfies the annual recurrent training requirements mandated by insurance underwriters, and the 61.58 Pilot Proficiency Exam, dictated by FAR 61.58(a).
This course consists of a two-day aircraft systems review, followed by one day of flight training in preparation for the 61.58 PPE (pilot proficiency exam) administered by an FAA Designated Examiner. Tasks to be demonstrated are the same as in the EMB-500 Type Rating Course, as per the ATP Practical Test Standards for multi-engine airplanes.
*Upgrade to Single Pilot – note if you have previously taken your checkride to crew standards and have the “SIC Required” limitation on your pilot certificate, this is an excellent opportunity to upgrade. To remove the “SIC Required” limitation you will simply need to pass the checkride to single pilot standards.
