PHENOM 300 PIC TYPE RATING
The Phenom 300 Initial Type Rating Training Course adds the EMB-505 Type Rating to a pilot’s existing certificate. This allows the holder to act as pilot in command of the Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft. Our course consists of a comprehensive ground school in order to learn the aircraft and it’s systems and flight training in preparation for the practical test. All training is personalized to your individual needs and skill level. Tasks to be demonstrated in the practical test are defined in the ATP Type Rating Practical Test Standards for multi engine airplanes.
All flight training is conducted in aircraft. Training is conducted in your aircraft. You have the option to come to one of our training centers (make selection on Request a Quote Form) or for your convenience we offer ON SITE training your home base or anywhere you choose. Training in your aircraft will prepare you to fly your specific set up and achieve mastery of your aircraft. In addition, our instructors have vast experience flying Phenom 300’s and can provide you with real world scenarios.
The EMB-505 Type Rating requires a checkride conducted by an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE). The Phenom 300 is certified under Part 23 of the FAR’s which allows for single pilot operations. You have the option to take the checkride to single pilot standards or crew. If crew is elected, “SIC Required” will be added to the EMB-505 Type Rating under Limitations on your pilot certificate. You can complete the EMB-505 Type Rating Training Course in as little as 5-7 days. After you complete the course and the pass the practical test with a satisfactory rating, your pilot certificate will be reissued with the EMB- 505 Type Rating.
PHENOM 300 RECURRENT TRAINING
The EMB-505 Recurrent Training course satisfies the annual recurrent training requirements mandated by insurance underwriters, and the 61.58 Pilot Proficiency Exam, dictated by FAR 61.58(a).
This course consists of a two day aircraft systems review, followed by one day of flight training in preparation for the 61.58 PPE (pilot proficiency exam) administered by an FAA Designated Examiner. Tasks to be demonstrated are the same as in the EMB-505 Type Rating Course, as per the ATP Practical Test Standards for multi engine airplanes.
*Upgrade to Single Pilot – note if you have previously taken your checkride to crew standards and have the “SIC Required” limitation on your pilot certificate, this is an excellent opportunity to upgrade. The Phenom 300 is certified under Part 23 of the FAR’s which allows for single pilot operation. To remove the “SIC Required” limitation you will simply need to pass the checkride to single pilot standards.
PHENOM 300 SIC TYPE RATING
The Phenom 300 SIC Type Rating training course adds the EMB-505 Type Rating to a pilot’s existing certificate. Therefore allowing the holder to act as Second in Command of the Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft.
Our 3 day consists of comprehensive Ground and Flight Training to satisfy all FAR 61.55(b)(1) requirements for the SIC TYPE RATING. The flight portion is approximately 1 hour and is conducted in your Phenom 300. Tasks to be demonstrated are defined in FAR 61.55(b)(2). The flight portion will also satisfy requirements for your Biennial Flight Review (BFR) and Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC).
At completion of this course your pilot certificate will be reissued with the EMB-505 Type Rating with “SIC Privileges Only” listed under limitations. When you’re ready, you can upgrade to the PIC.
Second in Command to Pilot In Command Upgrade
If you hold a current EMB-505 SIC Type Rating, this course will upgrade your pilot certificate to a EMB-505 Type Rating (removes SIC Privileges Only limitation). Our course consists of a comprehensive aircraft systems review, flight training, and prep for oral and practical test.
The SIC to PIC Upgrade course can be completed in as little as 4 -5 days.
