The Premier I/IA Initial Type Rating Training Course adds the RA-390 Type Rating to a pilot’s existing certificate. This allows the holder to act as pilot in command of the Premier I/IA aircraft. Our course consists of a comprehensive systems review, flight training and prep for the oral and practical test. All training is personalized to your individual needs and skill level. Tasks to be demonstrated are defined in the ATP Type Rating Practical Test Standards for multi engine airplanes. At the bottom of this page, you can view a curriculum outline of the ground school and flight training.
All flight training is conducted in aircraft. Training is conducted in your aircraft. You have the option to come to one of our training centers (make selection on Request a Quote Form) or we offer the convenience of training on site at your home base. Training in your aircraft will prepare you to fly your specific set up and achieve mastery of your aircraft. In addition, our instructors have vast experience flying the Premier Jet and can provide you with real world scenarios.
The RA-390 Type Rating requires a checkride conducted by an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE). The Premier Jet is certified under Part 23 and can be operated single pilot. You have the option to take the checkride to single pilot standards or crew. Successful completion of the checkride to single pilot standards will earn you the RA-390(S) Type Rating. If crew is elected, “SIC Required” will be added to the RA-390 Type Rating on your pilot certificate. Learn more on what to expect from the flight exam and how to reduce test-day nerves.
You can complete the Premier1/1A Type Rating Training Course in as little as 5-7 days. After you complete the course, your pilot certificate will be reissued with the RA-390 Type Rating.
Second in Command to Pilot In Command Upgrade
If you hold a current RA-390 Second in Command Type Rating, this course will upgrade your pilot certificate to a RA-390 Type Rating (no SIC restriction). Our course consists of a comprehensive aircraft systems review, flight training, and prep for oral and practical test.
The SIC to PIC Upgrade course can be completed in as little as 3 -5 days.
